The CHIREC Buzz- From the desk of the Principal
Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,
November has been a month of reflection, growth, and excitement at The CHIREC International School, Bangalore. As we look back on the successful completion of Term 1, it’s a perfect time to reflect on our learning journey and gear up for even more enriching experiences ahead. Post-term break, our amazing teachers have been busy fine-tuning their lesson plans, crafting hands-on learning activities, and gearing up for formative exams and revisions. But that’s not all—while working hard behind the scenes, our teachers made sure to keep the fun and celebrations rolling!
Children’s Day was nothing short of spectacular, with our teachers taking center stage as the ultimate showstoppers, ensuring the day was extra special for our students. It was a joyous occasion filled with fun and laughter, leaving everyone with great memories.
The learning didn’t stop there! Our students also celebrated CV Raman Day, diving deep into the fascinating Raman Effect through engaging experiments. The excitement in the air was palpable as curiosity took center stage.
And let’s not forget International Men’s Day! Our students showed their appreciation by creating heartfelt greeting cards for the male staff members—teachers and support staff alike—who support and guide us every day.
Our middle school students embarked on a fascinating nature walk that combined hands-on learning with outdoor exploration. The walk allowed students to immerse themselves in the natural world as they reflected on and explored the different types of leaves, their structures, and their life cycles. The teacher guided the students through the activity, encouraging them to observe closely and identify various leaves, noting their shapes, sizes, and textures. This interactive approach not only enhanced their understanding of plant biology but also stimulated essential skills such as observation, communication, and collaboration.
As students worked together to discuss their findings, they practiced effective communication, sharing insights and asking questions to deepen their understanding. Collaboration was key during the walk, as students worked in pairs or small groups to examine leaves and discuss the different stages of a leaf’s life cycle—from germination to decay.
This hands-on approach to learning reinforced the importance of observation and teamwork, providing students with a deeper connection to the natural world and a greater appreciation for the environment around them.
Our first Karate belt exam was successfully conducted, and we are thrilled to see the exceptional progress our students have made. The children displayed impressive dedication and skill, making this a truly rewarding milestone in their Karate journey.
But that’s not all—we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our upcoming Literature Fest, CLEA (CHIREC Literary & Educational Assembly)! It promises to be a fun-filled day with themed rooms, movie screenings, puppet shows, and much more. Stay tuned for more details in our next newsletter, and don’t forget to leave a comment to show your support!
